  • Gazebo is presently engaged in many construction phases of the project. This construction work encompasses various aspects, including civil engineering, permanent way (track), and electrical works on site services etc.
  • In 2020, Post submission of DPR for 3.8 km railway line, Gazebo was awarded the project to provide PMC services and laying of Railway track along with the installation of OHE for the line.
  • In 2023, we were awarded a contract for the execution of construction of 4 Passenger platform under the Maputo Central Station. Four platforms were proposed in Maputo Central Station and were designed to board and disembark passengers on trains.
  • Gazebo currently is also developing the existing CFM yard area near Boane station for stacking of sleepers to meet the present and future requirements of CFM by levelling & compacting the existing uneven yard area for sleeper stacking, Construction of Boundary Wall all around the Sleeper Yard and Assembling of Gantry track and Gantry Girder for loading and unloading sleepers from the train to the sleeper stacking yard.

Railway Track Material

Railway overhead equipment (OHE)


  • Railway overhead equipment (OHE) is a complex system of wires and supporting structures that supply electricity to electric trains and trams. It is the equivalent of power lines for regular trains, but specifically designed for the demanding environment of a railway.
  • They provide a safe and reliable source of electricity to trains: The overhead wires carry high voltage electricity, typically 25,000 volts AC, which is then collected by the pantograph on the top of the train and converted to power the traction motors.
  • They enable efficient and environmentally friendly operation of trains: Electric trains are more efficient than diesel trains and produce no emissions at the point of use, making them a more sustainable mode of transport.
  • Allow for higher speeds and greater capacity: OHE can provide the power needed for trains to travel at higher speeds and with more carriages, increasing the capacity of the railway network
