Railway overhead equipment (OHE)


  • Railway overhead equipment (OHE) is a complex system of wires and supporting structures that supply electricity to electric trains and trams. It is the equivalent of power lines for regular trains, but specifically designed for the demanding environment of a railway.
  • They provide a safe and reliable source of electricity to trains: The overhead wires carry high voltage electricity, typically 25,000 volts AC, which is then collected by the pantograph on the top of the train and converted to power the traction motors.

  • Culvert - Their primary role is to allow water to flow freely under roads, railways, or other structures. Fences, supported by concrete poles, can act as barriers to deter unauthorized entry, creating a more secure and private environment within the enclosed space. Compared to wooden poles, concrete offers superior durability, resisting rot, insect damage, and weathering much better. This translates to longer lifespans and minimal maintenance needs. Concrete poles are available in various sizes, shapes, and finishes, making them adaptable to different fencing styles and environments.
